Transfer procedures for .com .net .org .info .biz .cc domains

For a successful domain transfer several measures have to be taken in advance:

1) Please make sure that the owner address and/or admin-c email address registered in the WHOIS data set is technically accessible.
If applicable, please have a valid email address for owner and admin-c registered by the old provider in WHOIS data base. Usually, these amendments are free.

This is important because the DNS sends confirmations regarding the domain transfer to the email address registered with WHOIS. The DNS can send this confirmation mail only to the email addresses registered with WHOIS and nowhere else – this procedure cannot be influenced!

(2) Please inform your old provider about the impending transfer of your domain to another registrar. A notice of cancellation might be necessary – please note that you do not sign an application for deletion of your domain!

(3) Please ask your old provider (registrar, if applicable, to release all EPP Locks of your domain (can be registrar, client update and/or transfer LOCKS).

(4)Apply for the AUTH Code to your domain at your old provider and have it passed on to your new provider.
The AUTH Code is the key to start your domain transfer. Without the AUTH Code no transfer can take place.

If everything has been completed your domain transfer can take place straight away!
