Virtual Root Servers, also known as vps or vserver ,- are the cost-effective alternative to dedicated servers. You can enjoy the benefits of a dedicated server (root access, install your own programs etc) and benefit from the flexibility of virtualized operating-system instances in a shared physical server.

EDIS runs 2 different kinds of production systems to offer a cost-effective solution based on the linux vserver hypervisor (context virtualization) and a fully virtualized product with the mighty "kernel based virtual machine" also known as KVM. All production systems are equipped with Intel® processors and take full advantage of the Intel®VT hardware-virtualization routines.

Virtual root server productions systems are physically located in Austria (Graz), Switzerland (Zurich), Germany (Frankfurt), Italy (Milan), United States (Chicago), Sweden (Stockholm), France (Paris) and in the UK (London). More server locations will follow soon. Models with SSD are only available in Austria and Switzerland, KVM is available in the U.S.A., Switzerland, Sweden, Austria, Germany, France and UK. Adult content: Not recommended in Germany, strictly forbidden in Russia and in Italy

TOR: relaying allowed / exit nodes are forbidden in all locations
All Ports: OK
rDNS IPv4: OK (manually, via support)
