What is a load balancing cluster and why is it so important?

Load balancing clusters are used to distribute the loads. The load distribution is done via a redundantly designed central instance.
It is of benefit to you that your website will gain the best possible performance through this load distribution. Individual server failures remain unnoticed since web site accesses are served via other running servers in the meantime.
The performance demand is not covered by upgrading of individual computers but by supplying additional servers – that is why it is possible to host websites that need more performance capacity than one single server is ever possible to cover.
This philosophy has been consistently pursued at EDIS since its foundation in 1999. This is the big difference to other web hosters on the market!
